Hell, most folk don't even know what an HHR is, much less an SS, or panel SS. I like being a little different, that's part of the reason I ride a Triumph D675 (with poisonous Amazonian armored tree frog hides on the seat).

I looked long and hard for the panel option to no avail. I wanted the SS though, and am quite happy with my red SS.

Thanks for posting those numbers.
WOW there where a lot more made than I thought.
Where are all of them.
17,379 total made? Seems way high
That would mean
More than half where made in 2008

2008 9,708
2009 5,561
2010 2,110

Total m/t. made 9,399
Total auto made 7,980

According to numbers listed above

No, you're not reading the numbers correctly.

There were a total of 7980 HHR SS built.

The manual transmission numbers I listed are FOR ALL HHR'S! Considering that they made 100's of thousands of regular HHR's--and that most manuals were surely SS models--very few manual regular HHR's were ever made.

According to the Heritage Center, there's no way to know how many manual HHR SS were made. They didn't keep track.

That makes more sense I thought you meant all types as in all types of Hhr ss's
More than half made the first year.
If sales where distributed evenly amongst the lower 48 States
That's only about 166 per state?

I'm starting to think that my car,2010 SS 5speed, may be a little more rare than I used to think it was.
If about half of the 2010 SS's were 5speeds, then you're only looking at about 450 units produced. Hmmmmmmmm........................

Don't forget the dealer installed front ss option that makes it even more rare

I thu.kn for 08 the official number was 4519 total as production for the ss.
There used to be a breakdown listed somewhere, with the 5sp sunburst orange panel being the rarest of the rare, don't know if that is consistent with all three years though.
