Question Is there more than one Stage Kit for the SS?

I did a search and really couldn't find any info about this. I've been reading off and on here on this board about the Stage 1 kit and wonder is there another "Stage" to the upgrading you can do to the HHR SS?

I plan to own one someday, prolly not soon though, but I'm very interested in the Stage Kits... Is there a "Stage 2" or heaven forbid, even "Stage 3"?

Gm only has the Stage 1 for the HHR SS

however some people have put aftermarket tunes on top of the GM Tune.

Others have an aftermarket tune instead of the GM Tune.

I think the GM tune with the different airflow sensors is the way to go, and then build on it from there, as the GM Tune disables the relearn feature and ups the rpm limiter

Wonder why they call it "Stage 1"? The implication is that there are other stages you can upgrade to. Roush performance has Stages 1, 2, and 3 for their hi po Mustangs.

"Stage Only" sounded too stupid.

Crate engine has Stage 1, 2 and 3 kits listed for the Cobalts. They show apps for different years. Maybe GM is just being prepared for what the future might hold for the HHR versions? Don't forget, St1 came around before the **** hit the fan.

I think you are looking at the Supercharged Cobalt kit that was offered for several years in several stages.

Also the HHR kit I have seen it called Stage II and Stage by GM in different stories or press releases. I have yet to see it called Stage I. I am not sure what the offical name is.

I am not 100% sure on this, but I remember a thread a while back, stating that a "tune would be Stage 1, adding exhaust- stage 2, IC piping and Intercooler- stage 3. Check with ADM. I think thats where I remember the thread.

I agree, as this line of thinking would go inline with other Gens and other enthusiasts. (DSM has three stages, etc.) See my sig, breathe my exhaust.

Also, some of the vendors are calling their kits stage 1 and stage 2.....not including the GMPP kit. So they are treating their own kit levels as multiple stages, which is very confusing and misleading, when the customer is looking at the car "stages" rather than the vendor's performance level offerings.
