Please help. I have an 09 HHR LT, the TMPS light came on telling me that the front right tire is low. I check the pressure and it checked out fine. I went through the TPMS matching process, everything goes as they said until I get to the last tire (left rear) the horn doesn't beep and that turn light stays on until the time expires. It seems that it can't complete the learning process. I've tried about three times going step by step and nothing on the left rear tire. Well, now the TMPS aren't reading any of the tires.

more info:
Since I've gotten the car, which was about three months ago, the front right tire was always showing low on pressure even though it wasn't. I had the tires rotated about a month ago and the front right tire was still showing low. From what I've been reading, the sensors are in the tires itself, if thats the case, why is that particular side malfunctioning even when it has a different tire on it. Please help

Sounds like that rear unit has died or is not installed. It is probably registering as RF because the positions never got reset.

Unless you can dismount and mount tires you are going to need a shop capable, that would be most mechanic shops, no need for a dealership.

Could be all of the batteries have died. The batteries are not replaceable.

Has anything else gone on with the car?

Another thing to keep in mind when you're trying to reset the system is to make sure there are no other GM cars that use TPMS sensors close by when you're trying to reset the system.

The system can actually accept the signal from tires that aren't on the car. I had to move my car out of the garage when I switched from Winter to Summer Wheels/tires before resetting to make it work correctly.

Everything else works, no other issues. But I figured I should at least get the readings from the other three tires like I did before I tried the system matching process. I guess Ill look at replacing them.

Thanks for the advice, although I tried it again, this time at least 20 feet away from another chevy and still nothing on the last wheel. Thanks though!

The way I understand it if one of the four sensors are bad then the relearn can not be completed so the system won't read any of them.

The system wants to see 4 tire pressure sensors during the relearn. If it can't see 4 sensors the system won't read any of them.

When the relearn is started the memory of which sensor is on which location is erased.

That why when one sensor fails the other three work until someone try's to do the relearn.
