I didn't compare handling between the Pilots and the F1s, so I have no way to objectively quantify any difference... but I will say that for a high-torque FWD vehicle, my SS handles and starts with very low slippage unless I really push it. I still get an initial torque steer lurch when I floor it at the top of second. I haven't noticed any issues at speed on wet country roads, which is very surprising for me with high-torque FWD. Two thumbs up for the F1s. :thumb: :thumb: They are overkill for highway driving, but when having to stop or turn unexpectedly on a wet road, I want the stickiest rubber there is gripping the asphalt, and these seem to fit the bill. I figure they more than pay for themselves if reduced response time helps avoid a single fender-bender during the life of the tires.

The way some of the islanders out here literally put their kids in strollers on the highway shoulder right past a crest or blind turn while they're picking fruit, without so much as a care in the world, I'm one to take all the traction I can get.

Look at this chart

See where the General tires fall...just below the Pilots. For under $100 per tire this is good and I love them on my charger...just not a snow tire:(

I would be looking in the max performance category: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...ay.jsp?type=MP

I had the same General tires on my WRX and they were very good. I'll be getting a set of those when these need to be replaced....
