The hitch manufacturers won't make a different style hitch specifically for the SS since the owner's manual says NO TOWING!

Draw-Tite fits higher up than the hidden hitch.

Are you also going to be using a bike carrier? I'm planning to actually tow with mine at some point. It won't be more than 1Klbs, trailer included. Probably closer to 700. Think I'll be alright?

I'm actually going to be towing a teardrop camper (under 1k lbs)

Shh, don't tell GM.

If and when I take it in for service I'll put a bike rack on to remove suspicion.

Hi Guy's & Girls
I ended up putting on a "Draw Tite" and it works fine. I didn't notch the fascia and it probably only deflects it about 3/4" so I'm happy. I did take some Velcro and stick it to the fascia where it rubbed the hitch.. I thought it might help protect the paint.
I have a small motorcycle tent trailer and may pull it sometime. It probably only weighs 500# fully loaded but the possibility of the turbo heating up kind of worries me.
I want to thank everyone for your help. I appreciate it.

Hi ARONSS
I'm not sure but I think the oil is what cools the turbo.

Yes, but I would think there could still be a wide variance between the oil temp where it is measured on the main oil temp guage and the temp at the turbo. Another cool option would be to plumb in an external oil cooler right before the turbo. :)

after seeing pics, I'll NEVER put a hitch on my SS.

Never. It looks awful.

Am I the only one that feels this way?
