Trifecta adjustable launch control setting question...

I've been searching about this topic but I cannot find an answer about what is the best setting for launch control when having the trifecta tune on an automatic HHR SS.

I have an 08 HHR SS automatic with the trifecta tune that engages when using the launch control/competition button.

Does anybody know what the best setting is for the adjustable launch control?

Does this setting affect my RPMs all the time when driving my car or just when I'm taking off from a stop? If so should I have instead made the tuning engauge when on cruise control instead?

Obviously not many people left here with an SS and a trifecta tune. You can try the Cobalt forum, may be a few left over there.

I had the trifecta tune several years back on my 08ss automatic. The setting adjusts the rpm that the engine is held at when using the launch control. The factory setting is 4800, I believe. I turned this down to about 3000 as the car spun the tires too hard. It doesn't affect anything else, and launch control is pretty hard on the transmission in my opinion.

Agreed.

The launch control value is only for when in comp mode and stopped, the setting no matter what value its set to won't effect regular driving.

The best value is up to you really, depends on how sticky your tires are. Trail and error would be your best bet for figuring out the best rpm.
