universal roof rack / crossbars for the ss / hhr (without factory rails)?
 

well, thanks to hurricane sandy , i decided i really need an option to be able to mount my roof cargo carrier since i had to evac my powerless house and go to the inlaws with wife / dog / 2 kids. i had the universal system for my mazda6 wagon (which i sold for this hhr) , and unfortunatly they didnt work. they were made by INNO and were excelent quality and fit. i dont have the factory side rails and would also look into the option of having the dealer install an OEM kit, but i havent heard positive things about going that route. has anybody found / used a crossbar kit for bare roof? the ones i had clamped to the inside of the door seal area. thanks !

Wow, thats terrible my friend, if you in a pinch get a roof rack from walmart, you can strip it down to the roof for temp use.

Planning to strip and sell my (never used) factory side rails when I get home in a couple weeks. I'll PM ya.

I'm also looking for an option to add roof rails and rack... Can anybody recommend a particular brand and model? thanks in advance !
