I checked out my VIN Number from the other thread.........and according to that information my SS is either a 4.3L V6 MFI or a 2.0L L4 Diesel. Anybody else checked out there VIN Number.

If you mean the VIN decoder thread, you have to look at the correct year and there is a difference in trucks and cars. What do you want to know about your HHR?

 

Well they said it was a 2008 when I bought it and thats the year I was looking at in the VIN thread. What has me puzzled is the "8th" number or letter in the VIN tells you which motor the car or light truck has in it. My 8th number or letter is a "X" which according to the discription only gives two options a V6 or a L4 Diesel.

 

I really don't know what you were referencing BUT, the VIN DECODERS provided on this forum, indicate the vehicles with the 8th digit as an "X", are 2.0 ltr's.
