oh an auto? TUNE!!!!! great gains to be had for the auto cars. saw a local guy pick up 90 ft/lbs of torque from a downpipe, intake and a tune alone....if you get the car dyno tuned locally, you can typically request "save my stock file" and if you require warranty work, just have the stock flash put back on by the tuner.

That would Work, but don't be fooled. If you do major damage to the motor, even if you reflashed back to stock, GM can and will find out, especially if it is a warranty claim. All GM cars have a black box, only Chevymgr could tell how long the loop is. Also, under extreme circumstance the dealer will mail your ecm to headquarters for scrutiny. You take your chances.

I agree with foolmoon
Youb either stick with the gm tune and have the comfort of knowing that if the engine transmission turbo goes you are ok.
Or take your chances with a tune.just make sure you have someone tune it who know's these motors or you may have a pile of parts for a motor.
Crate engine depot told me they have a lot of people calling for motor parts due to a bad tune.

yeah im well aware of the consequences of a bad tune, came from the 3800/wbody scene so im no stranger to seeing people blow up their car with 50 miles since the engine has been built/tuned. Shouldn't GM have flashed the pcm after the stage 1 ? i feel like its not flashed since i get 17-18 psi for the most part on most hits and ive never seen the horsepower go above 265
