Just took a look at mine and I believe I have the same connection but in a different place, towards the front of the motor. All three connections do connect to other locations. One goes back to the turbo as you mentioned. Another goes to a braided plastic conduit by the mani and the third connects to a pipe at the bottom of my car (most likely intercooler piping). I have some pics on the latter and will try to post it on here. In the interim, try looking below the antifreeze container for a green connector to a large (3-4" diam) plastic pipe.

This shows where mine is connected - I do not not have a connection under the fender intake.

Here are the numbers of the part - hopefully ChevyMgr can confirm this is the same part.

The green compression clamp in the middle of the photo is the one I am thinking may be loose/off?

Hope that helps

Thanks, RFT. I have that one as well... in the same location as yours, clipped to the approximate top middle of the intake manifold. Your second and 3rd pic show the connection to the intake pipe that runs between the IC outlet and the intake manifold. The thing just to the right of the connection is the MAP sensor. Look about 18" to the left of that tee on the manifold to see if you have one in that area as well. That's the one I'm trying to ID.

That's what I was afraid of. Judging by your pictures it is over by the engine mount and I have no connections over there. Just a couple hoses that run next to the motor on the left side, but no connectors. FWIW, mine is an 09 5sp, don't remember if yours is an 09, but surely they didn't make major changes between the two years??

Mine's an '08, and I agree... probably no real changes to these kinds of things between model years. Problem is, this _may_ not be in the factory location. I had a guy do some work on the car and in his doing so, this vented tee sort of appeared. It's definitely a factory part because he didn't add anything, and so it's on your motor somewhere... just not sure where. The other unknown, and the one I'm trying to figure out is IF/WHY one side of it should vent to atmosphere. ChevyMgr provided some info on this earlier in the thread, but I'm not quite sure if this is related. As an emperical test, I plugged it up, and the butt dyno felt like the car reallllllly stepped up a notch or two on the bottom end. However, it was more than the butt dyno that saw I NEVER got over 15# of boost in any gear and at any RPM, which really sapped the top end. Without it plugged, which is the way I've been driving it for a few months, I get some really quirky low-mid behavior... crazy power, followed by the car falling on its face like the WG just went wide open for no reason... but on the top end, I see boost to 23-24# and the car pulls fairly well.

Note: System is a GT3076 with Tial (46mm???) WG and Tial Q (the "egg") BOV running recirculated.

I can't find anything close to it from the top of the car and don't have access to a lift to look underneath.

No to be an a-hole but have you checked with him just to be sure he didn't add it?

Yeah, I saw his response earlier and it looks like that is the component I photographed based on a service manual.

Nothing butt pure science!

Would be interesting to see when the line is active and what (vacuum/boost) it does under various load/rpm's. Doesn't solve your original question, but am thinking it may help.

Would you mind taking your car completely apart down to the last nut and bolt and see if it's in there? Actually... thanks for the effort!

He didn't.

I've got HPT logs for it open. Will get logs for when it's plugged next week (I'm off this week so I'm trying to catch up on my myriad other projects). Side-by-side logs may give me some idea of what's going on.

You're dangler should be plugged into to the Charge Air Bypass Valve Vacuum Tank (2). That was fun.
