Will 16" Wheels Clear SS Brakes

Having issues with the search function but I'm wanting to get a set of old-school chevy rally wheels for my local cruise-ins and 16" is as big as it gets unless you want to pony up some major $$$ for billets. Anyone know if 16's will clear on the SS?

As long as you don't have the Brembro brakes.

16 inch will fit on non Brembo brakes. I have the Wheel Vintques wheels for winter and they fit fine on the standard brakes.

They offer the old school Chevy rallys for the HHR. I assume they are the ones you are looking at. They are the same as mine just I did not get the holes in the wheels.

Yep, that's the ones I'm considering. Trying to figure out who to buy from though as I want them powdercoated from Wheel Vintiques and Summit, Jegs, etc seems to only sell primer or chromed.

Still haven't decided between smoothie or rally yet. Probably end up with rallys just for the additional cooling.

I did the smoothies and painted mine.

I work at Summit and we do the powder coat wheels all the time. Most places do not stock them and have to special order them.

If you want them call and place the order and what Summit would do is set them up as a drop ship at no extra cost. They would ship directly to you from the MFG and save you some time. Keep in mind the wheel companies get backed up and it may take longer during May and June.

We did have some coated Rally wheels in stock but they are already sold. I got them as a misboxed wheel when I got my Smoothies. They looked nice but I was going for ther black vintage look.

So you can get me the inside deal you said....LOL

Do you have a picture of yours? I can't decide what I want to do regarding color. Seriously considering red inner wheels and whitewalls for grins.

I will try to post a pic tonight.

I have a black SS with black wheels with a red stripe on the outside of short trim rings. I also have the bow tie cap with a red bow tie. I used Black wall Goodyear Assurance Triple Treds.

Theys are winter tires but they came out nice.

I almost did red centers with black lip on the wheels too but settled for black with red lip. Kind of that 40's look.
