Work done now less boost

I mentioned this in an earlier post about another subject, but thought I would start a new thread to get more readers and hopefully some ideas.

I took my car to the dealer for a couple of issues and 2 things happened that I feel could have effected the boost.
1st of all prior to the visit to the dealer I was able to get boost in the low 20s. after the visit, the most I can get is 16 psi, and usually only 15 psi. The temps are nice and cool 66 degrees F.
The 2 things that happened where that they replaced the turbo to IC tube due to a cracked bracket. The 2nd thing they did was update my software due to loss of cruise control and ESC that happened occasionally.
Of coarse I will take it back to the dealer and tell them, but I was wondering if updated software may have a reduction in boost, in which case I may be out of luck. I have the 5 speed and thought maybe i somehow got the auto program (less boost?)? The other thing I am thinking is that the turbo to IC tube may be leaking?
Any ideas?

I doubt very much that your non-tuned, stock SS was actually getting low 20's worth of boost unless you live up on a fairly tall mountain.

15-18 is pretty much normal.

Hell our computers can not even handle more than roughly 22.5lbs of boost and be able to supply proper fueling.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying you didn't see it on the gauge but I'm betting it was not accurate and has been corrected with the software upgrades.

In almost 8000 miles I've never seen more than 15-16 psi of boost on my 5 speed car.......including climbing some high speed, long grades at hard throttle.

This may be good nes and what I was looking for. If others chime in and say that they only get 15 - 16 psi, I will be happy and assume that my gage was off, although it doesn't feel as strong as it did before....
What are the rest of you guys with manual trans getting?

My 5sp regularly sees 20-22lbs of boost. But then I have a tune!

At the moment I'm back to the stock programming since I've been back and forth to the dealer on my PAL issues and I'm seeing 15-16lbs.

What everyone else says is correct. If you were seeing 20lbs. boost, it was due to an issue you were having. 16lbs. is the most I've seen stock. Anyone talking about 20+lbs. boost on this forum is tuned.

I'm currently back on stock tune since I had the car at dealership for service over the last 8 days... I've got to take it back in (because the dealership broke more than they fixed) in a few days, so I left the tune stock... driving to work this morning, I never saw anything over 15# of boost... and it made me sad for all the people still using stock tunes

Bone stock here and I only get 15# on a good day and usually only 13-14. I did get 18# one time and the SS was really pulling hard, but I have not been able to reproduce this since.
