My wires came out of the 7-PIN connector on the OEM Donnley 015315 rear view mirror (without OnStar) with twin map lights. It took a long time to figure it out. Here seems to be the solution:

Wiring Diagram:
Pin 1 : Empty
Pin 2 : Ground (Black -- or the darkest color which might be another color)
Pin 3 : Empty
Pin 4 : Empty
Pin 5 : Empty
Pin 6 : door switch ( Light Gray - or maybe white - this one eventually dims)
Pin 7 : Constant 12v (Blue with white stripe)
The wiring color may vary on yours, of course.

I found my flickers with movement due to a broken connector; also, check for a broken wire. It seems possible to push the connectors soldered to the wires into the connector backwards; if so, just twist the wire 180 degrees and see if it fits better. I hope this helps.
