Any reason you can't use screws that do match?
Did you try places like:
Fastenal?
EBay?
Grainger?
nutsandbolts.com?
Amazon?

"m6X1 nutsert" and "m6x1 screw" got lots of results on GoOgle.

Yeah, thanks for the info. I've been googling all day.
I'm kind of weirdo, so I'd like to use the OEM screws I got off the rails.
I got M6 nutserts but they don't match the OEM thread pitch.
I googled and looked on amazon, but I'm hard pressed to find any product page that actually states the pitch size aside from the obligatory "M6."
I do, however have a Fastenal pretty close to me, (news to me) hopefully they can tell me more than the other shops I've been to...
Thanks for the help,
Andy

As long as the head fits in the space I wouldn't think the rail would care.

Are you sure they are metric? It is an accessory so it may be ASE.

M6 would be Metric, 1.25 or 1.50 would be the pitch

Forgot to ask. Do you have the correct arbor to install this size nut-sert?

They're definetely metric with a 1.00 mm pitch as many people have told me so far, but they never have these things in stock, which is mind blowing to me...

If by arbor, you mean an actual rivnut tool, then yes. picked one up from Harbor Freight. (but only has the M6 with the wider thread pitch...)
I think though, knowing what I know now, (because I saw nothing in this thread mentioning the thread pitch) I would've just ordered matching screws with my rivnuts.
I was just under the impression that I had all the info I needed.

I'm really thankful for everyone's assistance, but now I'm re-reading the thread and seeing the stuff about the hidden holes in the back....
Does anyone know where I can find the template? Even in PDF form, I have access to a large format printer.
Even if someone has some kind of advice for doing it without a template... I've found Chevy's installation "instructions," but no template.
I was pretty confident I could install them easily since getting stuff centered and looking good is half my job, but those hidden holes are daunting.

There used to be a template circulating.

The arbor holds the correct nut-sert in the tool. If you use a different pitch tread arbor you will have a problem. M6 is the size/diameter of the bolt and 1.0,1.25, and 1.5 is the pitch of the thread on that fastener.
