Replaced the front dr side motor today this time it took probably an hour. I ordered 2 more motors. Ebay site said 10 on hand. Not really too bad.

Looks like off to ebay I go. My doors have been difficult to open for a while and just today I went to close the rear passenger door and CAN'T since the latch won't engage to close the door. Reading through this I'm hoping this may be the issue.

I doubt that the failure to latch a door closed is caused by this little motor. It is more likely your latch mechanism is bad in some other manner. However, this procedure details how to get the complete door latch mechanism out of the vehicle, which should be of some help.

Any way to still get these or at least the gear for the motors?
Please let me know my back door stopped working and the other is starting to act up.

I hesitate to add to an old thread, but the content seems so relevant I figured I'd post it here.

My rear passenger door lock will not manually lock OR fob-lock OR electronically lock (it has never locked since buying in Jan '16 w/57,xxx miles). Door panel is disassembled (thanks to other posts here), and I tried to use my multimeter to make sure that electricity was getting there, seemed to show activity when lock button is activated. Can't really get close enough to it to hear if actuator's trying to do anything. (2010 SS, lock-hole in panel seems big enough to cause no binding issues)

Seems like the actuator is the culprit, eh? My question: the ebay motors don't come with that gear. Is anyone aware of the success rate in removing/installing it onto the new motor? Motor is $10, gmpartsdirect has acuators for $115. I just got excited about saving $4 on the seat-belt buttons (different thread), so I'd better try this acuator repair or y'all will think I'm crazy. But I don't want to waste the time required for shipping parts if that gear is difficult to transfer and might easily fail.

Many thanks to you all -
