donbrew, the holes are inside the hatch, up above the window, with rubber plugs in them, they look factory...no holes on the outside to indicate there might have been a wing at one time

Those are factory holes for access to the spoiler mounting nuts. Large enough to get a socket on the nut. Here's one of my SS spoiler nuts. The SS spoiler has the studs/nuts AND 3m tape that bonds the spoiler to the hatch.

Thanks George...I know the LT spoilers mount different than the SS spoilers, mine has a total of four bolts, one above another, on each side...

...was just concerned that the factory plugged holes in my hatch were not going to be big enough to access both the bolts on each side, and why I was asking if I was going to have to drill two more

I found a spoiler at a local salvage yard for $75, and my buddy is painting it right now for me, we'll probably install it this coming weekend

Are they both bolts, or is one a positioning finger?

Georges has extra holes, his studs are in the holes you don't have.

Bolt holes? Don't stock spoilers have studs mounted on the spoiler, that go thru the holes (once drilled of course), and are held on with nuts?

Mine came right off an HHR that the salvage yard had on hand, they removed it while I waited, I asked them to please save all fasteners, they handed me the spoiler with the four bolts screwed back into it

Well, I ripped my SS style spoiler off a junker in the salvage yard; since the spoiler only cost me 15 bucks, I ripped the studs out and broked off the rest of the little fasteners. I secured the spoiler to my HHR with 3M VHB tape and a line of Window/Glass silicone around the entire perimeter. It has held perfectly since installed with absolutely no sing of lifting or giving in. If you are daring enough, this might work with the LT style as well. I think someone on here did it with success. It would be alot more risky though because the SS contacts the body of the car around the entire perimeter whereas the LT only connects at the ends. Just food for thought
