Lovely pictures. So, we picked up our running boards and we've taken them off to be painted when I suddenly realized that I'm not sure what I did with the installation instructions.

Any chance that someone could scan and send them to me on or off line?

Thanks

I will have to look for your car next time I am in Winter Haven. If you see someone in a Sandstone Metallic (with running boards and Chicken Little on the antenna) waving crazy at you, you will know it is me. Ha-Ha.

I am the easiest to spot now with my new rims and tires and am the lowest HHR in town!!

I wave at other HHR's but most just look at me like I am nuts.

Does anyone know how to install the running boards using the brackets? I have an 06' and I was able to get a good deal on some from ebay and they are off an 08'. I just don't have the install instrustions for these and they have a different bracket than what is pictured here. Does anyone have an how to with the different set up?
Thanks,
Tom

Let me start by saying I'm not a mechanic. The last time I gave advice here I got flamed. I would have responded to your email but apparently your settings prevent you from receiving email. If you look at this thread I think you will find it is informative.

I do have a scan of my running board installation instructions but can't figure out how to attach a file to this post. If you change your email settings I will send you the file. From what I read before I installed my running boards there are at least three different kinds of OEM kits. Mine had only six brackets some have eight as shown in this thread.

Good Luck ZIP

Mine had 6 brackets. They were the new style brackets. I have the instructions. Let me know if you still need them.
