Replacing the TPMS sensor battery
 

sensor of order died. I decided to change the battery. Couldn't find the battery number, so used №2032
Soldered to the contacts. Covered with epoxy

I'm guessing his location makes replacement a pain and/or expensive.

I forgot. Has spent 0,5 dollars on the battery and hour of time.

iroga65 is in Belarus. American parts can't be cheap or easy to get.

In Belarus batteries come from China, just like here.

It really pisses me off that the batteries aren't made to be replaced.

You would still need to deal with the bead breaking, and the CR2032 batteries only last a year or two .
I think replacing the sensors every 2nd time you replace tires isn’t bad.
I also think you should check tire pressure every week with a good tire pressure gauge as a better way to ensure you are aware of the air pressure.
