p0332 Knock Sensor #2 Replacement *Easy Fix

Figured I would make a post in case it could help anyone else who has the same issue. Had code p0332 pop recently and finally got around to fixing it yesterday when the knock sensor arrived. I have an automatic HHR SS 2008 but sure it would be similar on a manual. What you will need; a very skinny friend or relative, a 10mm small ratchet, a flash light, and a longer flathead screwdriver. I was dead set on finding the easy way to replace this part, and it worked! You will need to roll up your sleeves and reach to maneuver the skinny arm around the drivers side of engine bay and underneath the intake manifold. You should be able to feel for the sensor towards the passenger side of engine (you can use the height of the #1 sensor to help guide you) and then slip in the small ratchet and get to work! I then used the flathead to pop out the old pin connected to the dipstick (left side of throttle body,) then you are able to fish the old sensor out and plug the new sensor in from the top after removal! No other part removal required, the only other way I have heard to do this replacement is by removing the belt and alternator, so if this is an option; I would highly recommend it! Hope this helps someone, now my 210k mile SS is back running like new!

Thanks, I'll give it a try when it warms up and dries out here.
