Timing chain kits

I found this video explaining the different kits available for our Ecotec’s

Get some popcorn and a cold one, find some shade and check this out.

Here is information and explanation of the kits, what’s included and kit part numbers

I know now did you watch it all, the explanation of the difference of the 2.0 timing chain crank gear and the 2.2 / 2.4 crank gear?
And the torque values , the setting of the primary timing chain.
I found it very interesting and informative, better than the first video.

I changed mine in the HHR, just over 4 hours, now that’s from start to finish, I have to get my own tools and I don’t have a beer assistant !

There is a detailed written tutorial online produced by Autozone. It shows it changed without pulling the motor but does say to remove the hood which is not really neccessary. The water pump and all sprockets should be changed as well.

Thanks OldBlue, That was one of the more interesting things I have watched all week!
