SS rear axle beam assembly and rear spoiler.

I would be interested in the HHR SS dead axle. Problem, need to get it to PA. What do you think? I needed the SS spoiler but I see it's sold.

shipping the axle is ridiculous, shipping just over to CA from NV was 600+ so shipping to PA I really dont think it would be worth it. Aaron Hunzinger has a couple spoilers for sale on facebook on the hhr parts pages

Lew, check eBay. I just found and bought an SS rear axle - shipped from the midwest - for $250.... it pays to be patient and keep your eyes open. Lots of wrecking yards in PA as well.

HHR SS daed axle

Thank you for the insight. My experience with ebay is that there are some sellers who will send a non-disc brake rear either by mistake or otherwise. The return shipping is than the responsibility of the buyer. I have had little or no luck at the PA junkyards, SS parts are far and few between. Much to your credit I've been patient but it is running thin. I decided to join this group as everyone seems knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful to those of us who are rookies. Again, thank you for the direction I will keep your advise in mind. If you hear of a SS rear or SS rear spoiler please pass it along.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Loaded-Beam...gAAOSwtM9cx3Xe
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Loaded-Beam...4AAOSwMFFbtmeK (this was the axle I was originally looking at - they did not include the calipers or rotors)

Or you can order a new one: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-pa...embly-15232752

And depending where you are in PA and are on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...8892943801211/

So, yeah, they're out there. You just have to dig and ask the right questions.

On eBay from junkyards they usually specify the vehicle it was removed from and a pic of either the car or the part. The SS only had disc rears. Of course, Cobalt, G5 etc will fit.

If you are sent a part other than what you ordered on eBay a simple complaint gets it done. I don't know how they could get return shipping, sometimes they don't want the part back if you can prove they sent something other than advertised. The last thing they want is a proven fraud claim to eBay. Don't go by just the fitment guide, do your own research. At the very least, every junkyard can provide the VIN of the vehicle a part was removed from.

If they show a picture of a LT and advertise that the axle "fits" SS they are correct, but it plainly is not an SS in the pic and will not have disc brakes. If you can't tell the difference between pics of SS and LT you should not be doing it yourself. It is easy to figure out, bumpers, grilles etc.
