Hi everybody!
I first drove an HHR back in 2006 as a rental in SF. Loved the car from the get go. Later when my DD was involved in an accident I purposefully chose an HHR as a rental. I new that at some point I was gonna get one.
Fast forward 10 years and I got to a point in my life where I needed a car that wasn't too big but was spacious enough to haul stuff in or on top of and could be also used as a DD. So I bought a 2007 HHR 2LT 2.4 manual.
The first owner worked at a Chevy dealership and filled a folder with service documents. After that the car was owned by a woman with a kid for about a year and a half. When I bought the car it looked terrible. Covered with dust that was somewhat wiped off dry (!) so the paint was all scratched up and the interior... let's just say that I have never seen a car that filthy inside. The suspension also needed some TLC but seemed like it had no major problems.
After a good wash inside and out, 4 new shocks and all filters replaced I have a decent car. I still need to go through the suspension bits but for now it works well.
Thank you in advance for all the help I might need down the road!
