Hello from TO!

Hi everybody,
Purchased a black 2006 HHR LS and I love it! For years I toyed with buying a older vehicle, and trying to restore it to use as a service van/ everyday vehicle. I love the Retro look, and saw the PT Cruiser come out, but it wasn't me. As soon as I saw the HHR, I knew it was the vehicle for me.
Would appreciate any advice regarding the following:
I'm trying to find a service manual, the interweb has proved annoying. Anyone had more success?
I bought some Cobalt SS rims as my summer set, and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a specific ft/lb the nuts neededas I'm planning to use a torque wrench.
I would eventually like to get roof rack rails installed. Can this be done after the fact or is this going to be a huge nightmare?

Cheers,
Ecky

Welcome to the forum !
The proper manuals are huge and expensive, about $300 I think, in three volumes.
However there is a digital copy on cd-rom available on ebay now and then for cheap.
As for the roof rails, there is a kit available from the dealer, it comes with all hardware and a template for drilling. You still need to get the crossbars though for most uses, which cost about $350 canadian themselves.
I made sure to buy my HHR with the roof rails, but havent had to use them yet, everything has fit inside. And I refuse to pay the dealer that much for two steel bars.
If you are up for it, there is a Chev/Pontiac show and shine coming up May 9, hope to see a few HHRs there. http://www.ontariocobaltclub.com/com...p?topic=6013.0

I had just seen an HHR with some after market rails installed last week.
