HHR Accessories
 

Thanks for the welcome. Just purchased a low mileage "cherry" 2010 silver HHR and have already set it up as my new "Toad" (tow car). I'm using a Blue Ox "Aladdin" tow hitch and pull it behind my 2014 Itasca Ellipse 42QD motorhome. I pull it with all four wheels down and have installed a Drive/Tow switch on the dash that locks out the accessory fuse when towing. One question I have... I see many HHRs with built-in running boards and chrome luggage racks. Are these items linked to a specific model HHR? Are these items available from the dealer or just at after-market sites?

Guessing you have a basic LS model since you don't have any of those options.
Running boards, luggage racks and such were GM option parts. Usually found on the LT or 2LT models.
The SS's came with custom side skirts(running boards)

Many folks have added these options to their cars, usually buying used parts. New running boards and mounting brackets can be a little pricey.

One place to look for these options are ebay and gm parts direct. They are fairly easy to install.

The running boards if you buy new may come paint to match.
