Maple Leaf/Nova Scotia noob...
Hello everyone,
My wife, Pat, and I picked up our new-to-us 08 HHR LS last weekend. We're very impressed...it's a nice ride. First Chevy that either of us have ever owned (though Pat once described her Dad as "an Impala guy") after a long list of other makers.
Briefly, our story is that we reluctantly decided we couldn't afford a new vehicle of the size that we wanted (between dogs and instruments, it was either another truck or something with VOLUME) so we began looking at recent model-year used, er, pre-owned vehicles. Locally there were various mini-vans, a dozen and a half (or more) PT Cruisers and only two HHRs (an 06 & an 08) but the HHR blew the Chrysler outta the water (space & ride & vibe).
We're very happy with our new purchase and look forward to years (we really don't get out much
) of more happy. THANKS to everyone here for the bounty of info...has already come in handy with getting new tires and re-setting the TPMS (vehicle came with new snows so we had to buy all-seasons for the summer -- it's a Canadian thing...though I expect some in the northern states will know of what I speak.)

Welcome! What colour did you get?
The HHR definitely is a good value bought used, and can haul everything Ive tried so far. Various furniture, bikes, construction supplies, big subwoofer box etc.
I usually fly into Halifax a couple times a year to see the in-laws, Lower Sackville then drive over to the Annapolis Valley. Beautiful place to live!

Apparently it's called sandstone metallic (but it looks like gold to me). We're both originally from Ontario (Outer Scarberia for me and North Bay for my wife) but moved here after 10+ years in central TX. The Maritimes, and NS in particular, IS a lovely place to live (and play music which may explain my need for a hauler)! But the dogs like it too...
