????? May be an HHR owner soon ?????

Hi folks I am in the market for a new vehicle - new to me.

I really dig the HHR SS and have some questions. I've used the search feature and cannot find the answers. A little help would be appreciated.

If I buy an SS it will be an auto trans.

What is the towing capacity of the SS? I have a motorcycle and enclosed trailer. I use the trailer mainly to render help to motorcycle riders when they break down. Its about 2500lbs with bike.

What are the things to look out for in regard to common problems with the SS?

Are the bolt patterns and offsets of the wheels the same for all models of the SS?

Does the SS come with blue tooth. Weird question huh? I live in California where the cell phone law is strict and use my phone a lot while on the road. I prefer in car blue tooth over a headset.

Thanks for your time folks.

Welcome to the site!! The SS is not supposed to tow, even with an automatic transmission. It says that in the owner's manual. I am not sure of the reason behind this, but I have heard it here on this forum before. The LS, 1LT, and 2LT are only rated to tow up to 1,000 lbs, and only with an automatic transmission.

As far as your Bluetooth question, I think the SS comes with Bluetooth, but I'm not totally sure. It probably comes on the 2LT, also. Good luck with your searching around! Hope you end up getting an HHR! I love mine!

I love my HHR LT2 it came with a 2.4 auto trans and bluetooth Gm is still offering the 4k rebate on them but look it over closely as all 2010 models that are left have been sitting around and may need a fair amount of detailing to get it up to par.
Good luck with your purchase.
