New Guy. Greetings and a few Questions.
Just became the proud owner of a bright red 2011 HHR LT with 23K miles on it.
Bought it from a Chevy dealer, certified pre-owned. A year bumper to bumper left, then two more years of drive train.
It's spotless, there's not a mark on it.
2.2, Auto, leather, heated seats, got the XM going, life is good.
A few questions: (after some reading on this forum).
No AP3 Code, no REMOTE START in DIC. Guess I'm SOL on that one. Aftermarket or nothing.....right?
Does this mean it was a fleet car? It was represented as a local trade in. Is there a way to find out? I'll spend the $40 on a CarFax but I don't think that tells you the owner(s) does it?
That's it for now.....
Thanks.

Welcome to the site. We have 2 ex rentals a 2009 LS and a 23010 LT. They have been no problems. I suspect yours is not a rental because of the leather and heated seats. Also If I had ordered mine new I would have deleted remote start. It could be the previous owner' like me' didn't want this option.Welcome again
Ron
Picked up my 11 a month ago. It was a rental turn-in. The dealer put it up front it was a rental return and also it says it on the carfax I got. No big deal. It does not bother me, most rental companies seem to take better care of a car than some owner do. From what you have said I would say you got a trade-in. Most likely someone could not make the payments or moved on to something eles. ENJOY YOUR RIDE.
OK, that's encouraging. Also forgot to mention it has a sun roof. Has anyone ever seen a fleet car with one of those?
Did my first run with it today. 150 miles round trip. About 28mpg, not bad for winter fuel.
A very slight rumble in the wheels once in a while, but I-78 has some of that "built in".
Noticed the tires were all above 35 psi which is way above the 30psi the door sticker recommends. They're cooling right now and then I will adjust.
I am pleasantly surprised with the sound. Wifey drives a Suburban, we also have a Silverado 3500 DRW to pull campers with and I think the sound in both of them is less.
(Can you tell we like Chevy ?

OK, update.
Put down the dough, pulled the CarFax and 5/11 vehicle was a rental in RI for six months and through a few auctions and after considerable time in a few inventories sold with 13000 miles 5/12 by Enterprise Car Sales in Mechanicsburg PA to a private owner who put 10 more thousand miles on it. Sold at auction again on 10/12 to end up with the dealer I bought it from.

Welcome to the forum. But ask the dealer where is the report, you should not have had to pay for it. Part of "Certified" is they provide a Carfax report or similar. "Private" owner sounds like "wholesaler" in this case.
A side note on Carfax reports; they only report what an insurance company has reported at the time. My 2008 "Certified" was sold with a clean Carfax, but 2 months later a near total showed up. Much commotion in the Dealership owner's office ensued.

sometimes, buying a car is like playing roulette. unless of course, you buy brand new.
