Hhrokie. I had some bad gremlins early on but I had a great service dept to help me. I found if you approach them nicely they will be more willing to help. They get lots of people who treat them bad because something went wrong.
Also. I would nit pick it over now so you may get all the power train based things worked on before it expires.
Also. If you hear a ticking sound from under the hood while it's running. That's normal. When it's off. Not so much. jk

Front end noises are a possibility, but when they pop up its usually the sway bar end links and sway bar bushing that cause 90-95% of the problems.
Brake pulsation will crop up, and the best way to avoid it is to adjust the rear brakes at every oil change or 5,000 miles. The self adjusters on HHR's with rear drum brakes don't "self adjust" and over time the rear brakes get so out of whack that the front brakes are doing more of the stopping than they are meant to.
Before your warranty expires, make a list of everything that might need attended to, and have them taken care of.

Agree. Very dependable in my opinion. Have 70k on mine never had a problem. Well I had the dreaded stuck key and ive replaced tires. No mechanical issues at all. Still runs like the day I bought it. Just a quick fyi. I recommend you dont base your oil changes off of the DIC. I do mine every 5000 miles. The DIC will put you over 10,000 miles sometimes before it says you should change oil.

Thanks guys! I'll definitely look into the rear brakes! I know when we purchased the HHR they installed new end links due to some front end noise. I have noticed that when I am at a light and let my foot off the brake, the rear brakes "click." Maybe they need adjusted? Seems pretty dependable! Just had my tranny flushed 400 miles ago because here in Oklahoma it gets HOT! My HHR was a rescue rental, so I'm sure it feels like it's being pampered now!
