I never thought I'd own one of these (both an HHR and a Chevy in general), but here I am!
I picked up this purdy little Majestic Amethyst Metallic (i.e., Purplegrey) 2007 HHR LT a few weeks ago from a local dealer for $3,750. Her name is Misty Jewel, and she has 107K on the clock. Engine purrs like new. Good service records, lifelong California car, and was cared for well enough by its original owner to find itself on the CarMax lot at one point in her life. (I like that, as CarMax does seem to weed out a lot of cars, and put only the best of what they find on their lots).
The only issue it seems to have is some minor loose-ness in the front end. Since I've been stealth reading here for several weeks, I have a pretty good sense of what to do about that.
Did the 100K mile service myself last week, since I don't know if it had been done (last recorded service on CarFax was at 75K). Though I didn't expect to become an HHR owner, I'm really liking it so far, and hope to keep it for a good while.
