Old Colonial New Guy w 2008 Woodie

Greetings and salutations from the US's biggest lie, sunny Florida. (Says "Sunshine State" on the plate like THATS gonna help!) Needed some help with putting a roof rack on my woodie and ran into you good folks. Found many threads that I have enjoyed.
I started with buying my first new car in Lincolnton NC. 2008 2.2 LT copper HHR. It is definitely one of my top 3 cars of all time. Ignition lock has happened twice and fixed free both times. Painted the fenders black, added a woodie kit, ripped off the hubcaps, painted the wheels red, added beauty rings and chrome lug nuts (ya, you just can't hide money) and I drive the sheet out of this thing. My other vehicle is a 1948 Ford Panel. Have had many many rides thru the years and consider myself a motor head. I've busted knuckles, ate rust and grease, had weld slag in my ear lobs and down in my shoes, believe there is no such thing as an inanimate object (some screws and bolts just sit and wait to invoke pain on us humans), hurt so bad I had to pee but wouldn't trade a dirty Saturday afternoon with a cold beer and a bunch of brothers of the wheel for nothing (maybe Joie Heatherton). What I do would kill a younger man.

OK, that's it. I hope I've passed the audition.

Did you get a complete kit, or did you just get the rails off another HHR?

Welcome aboard! Please post pictures of your ride as we like pictures here. We are obviously visual people... That's why we were all attracted to the HHR to begin with! :)

Still can't decide which of your wheels I like better. (Hey that is why you change 'em with the seasons, you can't either:clappy:).
