In and out speakers

Hello, I've a got a question about my stock audio system. Hope someone can answer because it's driving me crazy. I own an HHR and also use one @ work. My work vehicle is an '09, the speakers sometimes work and sometimes don't. I noticed that when the chime doesn't work, I only have the left rear and both tweeters. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem. No problems with my personal vehicle, Yet!

Possibilities.
Bad speaker(s)
Loose wiring connection
Bad head unit(stereo itself)

The chimes work through the front left speaker, so if that speaker doesn't work, neither will the chimes.

cutout

mine is doing the same thing. I have replaced my speakers/added amp/woofer with aftermarket stuff, retaining stock radio. I'm pretty sure my problem is in the head unit. something we discovered wiring, all wiring went through the stock radio. I spect I have a loose connection in back of the radio. If I leave L/R balance more to left instead of center or to the right it seems to do fine. good luck.

Red face Speakers

Hi. My radio cut out once completely, and I pulled it out and put it back in. A while later, it just started working again. I had my left front speaker blow- coil was open when I checked. I have had two speakers rot- cones fell apart. Today I am installing some pioneers. I was soldering connectors to avoid splicing- cot the factory connectors off the speakers with a Dremel. The last one I installed had a bad connector- I had to splice instead. The contacts were oxidized and would not clean up well enough to use. So, there are at least four ways to have speakers stop working that have all happened in one car.
