test...test...test...Hello!
My first post is going to be an introduction and a test run of
the forum software. fingers crossed...
I've been lurking this forum for over a month. In that time I've
been able get all my questions answered just by reading. Thanks
to all of you for the info on this site.
I started looking for a car back in June. I was hoping for a Ford Fusion
or Chevy Malibu. No movement on the price 86'd the Ford and the
Malibu's in my price range were boring.
Somewhere along the line a sales rep put me in an HHR. I drove it
around for 5 minutes...enough time to fall in love with everything but
the seats. They were leather and seemed kind of small. In hind site
it was probably the lumbar support!
With in a day of driving it I found this forum. Week or two later I bought this:

It was an '09 program 2lt2. The ride was great and with the sport suspension
fairly tight in the corners. The 2.4 lt engine was gravy.
Friends and family loved it. I found excuses to drive it constantly. And, of
course, take lots of pictures of it.

Notice the lower grill mod? Got that job done the morning after I got it
home.
Yes...the A1-HHR Virus infection was both quick and complete.
But...I kept reading this forum. Kept noticing chatter about another HHR,
the one with the whirly-gig deal attatched to the engine...
It only took two weeks. I was like a rummy, head down in shame walking
back into the local pub...but in my case a Chevy dealer.
"Uh...you still have the blue hhr ss?"
They returned a look like that of zoo lions at feeding time.
To my credit I walked out the door w/out buying. Not that I talked myself
out of an SS, rather to check other dealers. On another level, the deal was done.
I was back in two days.

The drive home was bliss: set the cruise at 56, noticed an INST mpg of 33,
and had a flash drive filled with Garcia playing through the stereo..nothing left to do but smile, smile smile!
Two weeks and 500 miles later the bliss continues. So does the picture-
taking!

Give me a few more days to get the sig file, avatar, ect figured out...
Cheers!
