Federal Government REBATE Checks
The federal government is sending each and everyone of us a $600 rebate.
If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China .
If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If we purchase a computer it will go to India .
If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico , Honduras , and
Guatemala .
If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan .
If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan ...
and none of it will help the American economy.
The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy prostitutes, weed,
beer, cigarettes, whiskey, and tattoos, since these are the only products
still produced in the USA .

WRONG!!!! Part might go to Mexico, but not one dime went to Japan!!!!!

funny not exactly true. here's a little economic lesson. we may buy foreign goods and services and give them our money for it but they turn around and use the money to buy some of our exports. "Buying American" may be helping some individuals/companies in industries competing with foreign imports but at the same time it is hurting those individuals/companies in the export sector (foreign nations won't buy as much if they aren't selling as much).

Can you name more than a handful of exports that we ship out of this country? I can think of cars, and ummm...I think the import/export ratio is WAAAY off!!!

Chances are that you already spent the money on gasoline. I just wish these rebate checks came directly from Exxon Mobil, so we could cut out the middleman (Uncle Sam) and avoid paying HIS share.
Maybe I could get a prostitute to give me a tattoo of beer, weed, cigarettes and whisky.

You need an Economics class and/or do some research....think US trade deficit.
And I agree with Solman. I should have changed the part related to the auto, because ONE of the great cars, indeed DOES COME FROM MEXICO....even if it does have parts from Japan (alternator for one).
You may now go back to work...lunch....your spouse......etc.
