Getting rid of the HHR...
If its an older car it will only be a year or two older and have the 2.0fsi motor. Warranty on those are 50k miles and I do plan on the extended warranty for them. I have learned all to well what german car parts cost. I help a friend with his Jetta 1.8t. Wow. That sucked!
EDIT::
One of the things that is hurting the value on my HHR is the 5spd instead of the manual trans. Not many people want a 5spd car anymore. Sad sad sad. :)

Yeah, my sister had an A4 with the 1.8t and that had to be the absolute worst car for repair costs. Especially when it broke down in the middle of GA and had to be towed to Atlanta, which Audi wouldn't cover because it was outside their so-called towing range.
When she went to turn it in at end-of-lease, some of the valve seals blew out the day before she turned it in. They wanted HER to eat the cost of repair since it was now out of warranty. She simply said, "My brother and brother-in-law are lawyers. They will work for me for free. How about yours?"
Didn't pay another dime. Went down to the Saab dealer and bought the "Saaburu" 9.2x.

I once bought a new Japanese luxury car, touted as holding the highest resale value. I lost half my money in two years...
