Group buys?

Most forums that i've been on have always had some kinds of group buys going on and i was just wondering why there aren't any going on here? I would love to see a group buy on The CGS and the IMCO muffler (looking your way SoCal;) ). Most of time is like 10 people are needed and everyone gets a percentage off the part if anyone doesn't know how it works.

There has been few that i've seen here. Either the vendors aren't offering or people aren't interested.

There was one for a ECM tune by Tune Time, you can find it by using the search.

I think much of the problem is that there are so few things available for the HHR, compared to other cars, that people are already buying or they are waiting to see the experience of others.

It would be nice if we had some group buys, just don't think there is a real demand by the consumer or need by the sellers.:2cents:

IMO...

With a few rare exceptions, not many mods are duplicated between vehicles. The HHR is more of an individualized vehicle...i.e., owners wish to make it more like "a one of a kind" ride.

A few mod things may possibly be of group interest. But I really believe it's limited.....by the owners and the industry.

I just think that the intake and muffler are two things that pretty much everyone goes for and if they could get a package price or something like that it would be great.

You can already get the IMCO for as little as $40 and the intake sells well enough that its unlikely a retailer/manufacturer would have any incentive to give a price break. Maybe if something new was to hit the market and they wanted it to get out or it was something usually priced higher than many will pay, like a ECM tune.

There just isn't enough products or a large enough market.

A package price would be another story. That's something we may see. It would still depend on how well they sold on their own.
