GM's implementation, "Personal Audio Link," will debut in the Chevrolet HHR later this year, and should be available in all of GM's 56 models by the end of next year. GM will offer Personal Audio Link as a $160 (plus installation) option.

Wonder if it will interface with exisitng HHR head units.

Someone from another forum said that he asked his dealer and it was quoted as a $325 unit... from that post "The parts guy said the part number is HLN21600, but it's not showing up in his system when searching by that part number. He had to find it by description."

I've been bugging my parts dept. for 2 weeks now. Stopped in yesterday with a printout of the news article and a print of the hhr accessories page showing it, I hope they understand I want one!!!!

 

I just left a voicemail for my dealer's Acessories guy about this.

We'll see what he says.

 

He called me back. He said he hadn't heard anything new so he'd check into it for me and let me know.

 

I spoke to a friend who works with the release engineers and they say it will still be a couple of weeks as they are having supplier constraints related to the licensing of the Apple connector interface. On a positive note, the Personal Audio Link (PAL as they are calling it), is now on the accessories page of the Chevrolet website for the HHR.
