Historic Log Cabin - Before and After
Log cabin in background was built by local carpenter Thomas Lincoln (that would be Abe's father); the small original to the left in 1789, and the new-money large addition with built-in cabinetry in 1805. Abe was born just down the road in Hodgenville in a log cabin which is long gone.
