Now that is talent! OMG KillerHHR, I will keep YOU in mind and my own personal database. Wish you could watch my home movies from the 50's and do some ID on those LOL.
Also, you folks have solved a mystery for me. With a '55 car on the lot, I now know that this was his used car lot just next door to the Ford dealership. I had completely forgotten how it was set up.
Well, since you're on a roll, here are the rest of the mystery photos:
PHOTO 1:I know the front one has to be a jag, since that was his fav car. I believe this to be 1950.
PHOTO 2: I believe this was 1953, and when he was a Studebaker Packard dealer. But why the heck is there a Chevy on the showroom floor?
PHOTO 3: This is supposedly 1958 so that should be a 1958 Ford, a Thunderbird, right?
PHOTO 4: I'm just throwing this in for nostalgia. So authentic, doesn't it just bring take you back to the old days?

And you are very right - a couple of those are publicity photos (for my little burg) and probably the day someone important visited. Hmm, in 1959 he won a trip to europe for being #1 sales in the U.S. Now I really need to get the accurate date on that Ford photo.

No, that's not a Chevrolet. The model name, on the front fender, says President, I believe. That might be a Packard...that's for the "experts", on this forum, to determine. The one in the background appears to be a Studebaker Golden Hawk...or ??

You're right on both, Snoopy. The foreground car is a Packard President. Kinda looks like a Chevy, but the grille shape marks it as a Packard. Background car is indeed a Golden Hawk.

Cars in photo #2 are a '56 Studebaker President, and "56 Golden Hawk. I had a '53 Studebaker Champion Starlite Coupe back then (Same body as the Golden Hawk but 6 cyl.) and I always drooled over a new Golden Hawk, but never had the moola!

I don't believe Studebaker and Packard started sharing body styles until 1957. The Packard version of the car in the foreground in pic# 2 was called a "Clipper" and had a different bumper style than the Studebaker President, Other than that the front ends looked the same.
