Chevy HHR Network - Just a very late thank you to 843de...

I signed onto this website, and this administrator gave me a thanks. Several months passed without making a comment, just using the site as a research tool for my new vehicle, and I get back on here to thank the community for the help they've provided... only to find that the administrator who'd given me welcome had just passed on, only a few weeks prior.

All I can say is, I wish to have been here earlier. I've seen the posts and I feel that a great community has been developed here. And Mr. McCabe seems to have been a major part of that greatness.

On a website I frequent, we lost a well-known, and more well liked, poster who'd been around for 15 years to the most horrendous of circumstances just this past week. It gave me pause, to think about what a great online community is about and how it may affect people, particularly those who may otherwise be distant in the real world. Mike helped create that, from everything I've seen, on this website.

This message may go to nobody, but I just wanted to give thanks to a person I'd never met, nor actually interacted with. But building an online community like this shows how much passion he had, and the responses from those who have commented about him showed how much love everyone felt for what he's done.

Thank you, Mike, for all that you've done.
