Putting oil on it will help deter salt from sticking. I oil in the doors (shoot it up through the drain holes) and the inside lip of the fender (wheel wells). Mostly in places where it is prone to build up and rust (also where the rear bumper and quarter panel meet). Helps keep the car stay in good shape.

And foolmoon- It's not leaking any oil. The oil I was mentioning was from me squirting it all over the car.
