first obligation is the safety and concern of the person in question. But, it's probably going to turn out well........after her failed kidneys, dehydration, etc. etc. And, we don't know the entire story.

Yes, a cell phone is great but it doesn't automatically make the call like On Star does. It's something to consider for those of us who travel alone all the time.
I agree that the authorities failed miserably. Yes, people separate every day. But all they had to do was question friends and neighbors to find out that wasn't an issue in the case. I hope she fully recovers quickly then hires the best lawyer in the state. This is one lawsuit waiting to be tried.

Looks to me the authorities were waaaaaay out of line.
It doesn't matter if they were seperated or not. If someone is reported missing, they should do SOMETHING about it. even if it was relaying the report to the other county.
