Sandy - of course it was ok to laugh - as long as your laughing wasn't directed at any nappy-headed folks.
Anyway, enjoy it and laugh for two reasons:
1) It's hilarious!
2) It will never go away.

I love this kind of stuff. I mean, Chappelle's "The Niggar Family" is one of the FUNNIEST things I've ever seen on TV. Too bad he ended up delirious in Africa and cut the show short, though....

That's the same way I feel. I loved The Man Show up until Adam and Jimmy leaving it. Then I pretty much stopped watching.

I agree. As far as nappy headed I don't view that as derogatory toward any race. I've met nappy headed people of every race. I think Imus crossed the line by calling the women hos. I have met very few women that enjoy being called a ho. It's okay if you're close friends with a girl and bust her balls by saying, "You're such a ho!" then you both have a good laugh, but if you walk up to some random woman on the street and deliver the same line you better be prepared for the backlash.

Don't even start on "The Man Show". What a pathetic excuse to watch women's boobs bounce up and down!

And drink beer! The boobs were nice but the humor was key. Kind of like The Benny Hill Show.

I just thought of a weird double standard while driving to the gas station. It's okay to laugh at Jeff Foxworthy's lame you might be a red neck jokes but its controversial if a comedian like Mencia, Rock, or Chappelle start making stereotype jokes. I'm not mocking red neck humor because Ron White is my man and a few other red neck comedians make me laugh but I find that kind of weird. Even though I called Jeff Foxworthy's comedy lame I have to admit that some stuff is spot on and funny but most of it is lame.

Excellent point, CH - I'd never thought about it that way, but there may very well be some contingent of Kentuckians who are raising a ruckus in response to Foxworthy's jokes. Too bad they don't have electricity or telecommunication services to relay their objections, though.

I find Mencia funny, and agree with him that everyone in this country takes everything way to seriously. take for example this thread, from the sixth post people started arguing. Lighten up and just laugh guys and gals. The world will be a much better place.
