Sad thing is, BOTH front wheels had similar issues. You could push on the bulge like a water balloon. Gotta love cheap Chinese tires.

These were on the front of a 1985 Nissan 300ZX.

Yep that looks like the problem Becareful I have seen tires like that burst with out warning. I would let the air out so no one gets hurt.

Not neccessarily Chinese. I've had three Generals, two Dunlops, and one BFG do the same in the past 45 years. The Generals were just poorly made IMO (70's, and 80's vintage, I still won't buy another), the Dunlops were the victim(s) of a South Texas railroad crossing (18" pothole filled with water, at night, in the fog), and the BFG was a bias-belted that was 10 years old. I'm hard on my tires, drive hard, stop hard. But unexpected road hazards and poor maintenance are worse on tires than the occasional defect. Put enough mileage under you and sooner or later, if not wary, it'll happen to you....

They're 2 years old on a car that sees 2000 miles a year...tops. Garage kept and maintained meticulously.

Did he mention the vibrating and bouncing he had to be feeling, I think that pulling to the right would have been the least of the complaints.
