my OEM 2007 AC Delco battery
IT now sits on my work bench, been in my ride since it was built in 2007, Voltage still tests @ 12.7, & passed my last load test.
I have a new battery in now. But I almost don't want to turn the old one in for the $22 core charge. There's still life in it. But I know it would konk out one day when I'm away from home or something like that. Guess I've grown attached to it, I would check it most every year, I will miss the 2 screw plugs on the ends to check the acid level tho. |
I've still got mine...
|
In your ride ?
I think I will get tired of moving it around to make space & go get my $22. core charge refunded sometime soon. |
Nah... I replaced it a couple of years back. But I don't trade in a good battery as a core.
|
Makes sense, it's too big for my mower, but a good quick portable source of power.

It's toast. I did remove the decal a while back, after a post by Donbrew, & I unscrewed all, 6 caps & the sulphation is quite visible, no surprise,

Time to recycle that battery, it’s toast! |
Blue- I turned it in today, time to move on from that one.
