Tom Magliozzi of Car Talk dead at 77

From 1987 to 2012 Tom and Ray Magliozzi AKA Click and Clack "The Tappet Brothers" kept us company every Saturday morning as the hosts of NPR's Car Talk.

Now Tom's infectious laugh and off the wall sense of humor will have to live on in our memories with his passing from Alzheimer's complications Monday morning.

Sad news! RIP Tom!

Even though the show has been nothing but "Best Of's" for two years, they still were a part of every Saturday morning down in the garage. Even if I wasn't twirling a wrench and just sitting on the old barstool at the workbench, Car Talk was on, and I'm really going to miss that.

I lost three Grandparents to Alzheimer's, what a terrible thing it is to have someone you love vanish before your eyes, yet their body is still there.

I really feel for his family, they've gone through hell.

I didn't like that show. When it first came on they did actually try to help folks but then it changed into their inane banter with no real automotive help to be had at all.

Just not my idea what a supposedly 'car help' program should be.

I also didn't like the way they would treat females that would call in with a legitimate question.

I guess if your a fan its like being a Deadhead, {fan of the Grateful Dead} either you like them or you don't.

I'm sorry for the dude and his family, I too know what its like to lose a family member to Alzheimer
