Hey everyone, my dad is the owner and driver of Xtreme Machine Inc. Its a private business that runs a jet powered freightliner across the U.S and in parts of Canada. The fastest the truck has gone in the quarter mile is a 7.12 at 225 mph. Fastest eighth mile time is a 5.02 at 162 mph. The business is up for sale. Im not trying to get anyone here to buy the truck, but I am trying to help spread the word. As there is only three jet powered trucks in the U.S not many people know about them.

Very Cool...

I have seen "Shockwave" the Kenworth race a couple times @ Moroso in WPB. Just the feeling from the thrust was AWESOME....

When it was staged & lighting up the excess fuel, it got the tower behind smoldering ...

 

Were good friends with Ken and Les Shockley. They have a nice truck. Its the slowest of the three trucks but the triple engines is cool.

Yes the old Shockwave had 3 jet engines that Kent drove..That's the one I saw..

I understand Les has come out with a "Super Shockwave" that runs 2 bigger jets in it..

Moroso Raceway has too short of a slow down area at the end..

I did see a Don Garlits vs Shirley (Cha-Cha) Muldowney grudge match for charity there..

Neither let it rip to the max, this was just a people pleaser run.. But was cool..

 

Yea the super Shockwave is a smaller twin engine truck. And moroso of now called palm beach international raceway is a great track. Manangment has really gone down hill but the track is nice.
That would be cool to see garlits and muldowney run.

I haven't seen the newer super shockwave truck yet..

Didn't know about Moroso name change.. Been a while since I left Fla tho...

& the Garlits vs Muldowney last race I saw was in the mid 90's..

But it was cool to see them both pair off..

At that time Garlits was retired due to his eyeball retinas detaching from him dumping the laundry (parachutes) at the end of his runs..

 

Yea the chutes are something. I went for a ride in the truck two Weeks ago at Bradenton. the truck ran a 7.40 at 205. It plants your head back against the seat and by half track your your feet are wanting to float. But when the chutes hit you get thrown forward so hard it is on the verge of hurting. Completely understand his retinas detatching.

 

That has to be an intense rush.. 1st launching, speed attained in between & then stopping..

I would love to ride shotgun in a jet truck..

Garlits' eyes are supposed to be better, but he only makes special appearances & does cacklefests..
