AC/Heat Circulation light

Hey folks, hope everybody that got some of the winter snow in VA are digging out ok!
Have a small question about my indicator light on the heat/ac panel. Every pic i have seen on this site shows that the "Circulation " button is lit up. Meaning that it is on? I try to cut mine off but it stays lit. Is this just an HHR issue where it is made to stay on like the older GM heater/ac motors use to run as long as the switch was on, always on low for circulation in the car. Wasn't Shure. Not hurting anything just wondering?.
Thx! BTW i did do a search, just did not have the time to read all 2000 comments. LOL

Owners Manual.
It has the most detailed and thorough description of the climate control panel.

See my sig for a Owner Manual.
Recirc only works when AC is on, not floor or defrost.
The AC button lights up when pushed to turn AC compressor on.
Defrost turns the AC compressor on with no notification

There is "fresh air" on the left, and "recirculating air" on the right. Default is "fresh air".

The recirculating only comes on if the selector is in certain positions, and the fan is on

thx folks!
Mine is the "FRESH AIR" button on the left. stays lit up soon as i start up the vehicle, no matter what i do to try to cut it off. Wondering if i have to go to the dealership and have them get it back on line or ???? Just kidding DB. lol. Ill check the manual. Im used to the recirculation switch lighting up when the AC/defrost is on, just never had a Fresh air switch that stays on with or with out the AC/ heat/defrost or fans controlled by the climate control panel.
thx

Thank You Lonwane.

Some times this site could use a little fresh air!
might have to "CHECK YOUR OWNERS MANUAL" to do that.

Really? We give you valid information and where to find more information, and we need fresh air?
Show some respect for the people who answered your question. They could have ignored you, if they only knew you’d be this ungrateful.
