The dealer did the flush for me at 50K for a fee of course. That means I won't need it again until I hit 150Ks.

Mine has 5yr 100k, but maybe that's because it's certified used?

You are correct, sleeper and "kid'.

I believe one of our moderators wrote a post regarding this issue. The only "extended power train warranty" on a 2006 would be either optionally purchased or on a Certified Used. Otherwise the "normal" 36/36,000 is in force.

You know, now that you mention it that does sound familiar....and mine was certified, so that'd make sense.

And something I never understood, you can get a 5/100 on a certified used, but they wouldn't extend the new purchase owners........

HHR transmission service.

I had wanted to have my 2006 HHr with the auto wanted to have drained filter changed was told only the dealer could do it. recently hit a curb dented the trans. pan leaking fluid all over my garage floor, thanks to Sleeper for the photo of the trans, showing the fill port, I went to a local trans. near me showed him the photoby Sleeper on 10-22-2010, bought the pan and gasket from NAPA for $67.06 the pan has a drain plug, had it installed by my local mech. he had called Chevy Dealer and was told only the dealer could do it, the dealer wanted $400.00 as an estimate to insall a new pan and gasket, my local mech. did the whole install with fluid fpr $177.00 Im very happy so anyone driving a lot of miles under severe conditions would recommend gettiing the pan withn the drain plug the factory manual shows how much fluid it takes, hope this helps someone as it helpped me. everyone have a great day.
