Ball point pen ink

Hi there, with so much help and info provided in this forum I am hoping someone has a good tip or two. We have had a "Bic" accident on our Leather seat  . Not a pen explosion but about a 6 inch line drawn. I have tried a few different suggestions (types of hair spray, etc.) but no luck. Does anyone have a magic solution  - dealer suggests dying the area at a leather shop, however hoping for something a bit more practical.

Thanks for your suggestions in advance

The first thing I would try on leather is Isopropyl Alcohol. Out 16-month-old did the sane thing to our leather sectional and it came right off with Iso. Clean cloth & wipe gently - don't smear! Change cloth surfaces after each wipe to prevent smears.

Good luck! :thumb:

Thanks SoCal, we'll give it a try. I'll let you know how it works out.

Unfortunately nothing worked. Tried a few other suggestions including a leather cleaning kit that my in-laws have for their furniture. Ended up having a leather specialist recommended by the dealer re-dye the section of the seat and you would never know anything happened. Thanks just the same for the suggestions! :thumb:

Wow! Must have been some heavy-duty ink!
I'm sure glad mine came out...
