cabin air filter INTAKE
anyone know where the intake for the cabin air filter is?? Got a nasty smell when air cond is turned on. I have changed the filter 2 times, and no better. Goes away in a couple of minutes. I want to spray some lysol in the intake, :confused:but I don't know where it is:red:-----Budro

The Cabin air filter is located behind the glove box. If you open it all the way you will see two little tabs holding it up, push those towards each other and the glove box will fold down nicely. You'll be looking for a little cover with snap type tabs. Let me know if you need more info

The A/C smells like that whether the Cabin filter is old or new......

Mine smells like this too, pisses me off.

Next time you get the car out, try turning the A/C off but leave your fan running and see if that helps. Ford (I think) had an issue with bacteria building up in the A/C condensor and causing a mildew smell when the A/C was turned on. Leaving the fan running without the compressor will help dry out the condensor and keep that smell down
